Sample essay camping trip

My family was altogether, which was the most important part of the trip for me. My siblings are adults with different lives, which makes it difficult for us to plan an activity, like this one, where we can be altogether at the same time and place. We had finished setting up the tent when it suddenly started raining.

“I-I-I show something in the trees.” Tom, Emily and I knew it was just Mike’s imagination. Just to make Mike know that there was nothing there we went in the forest. We walked and walked. It felt like forever and there was nothing there. We couldn’t even see any birds or squirrels.

Thoughts kept coming in. A night before we planned the journey from a city in Nigeria to the capital to catch the plane the next day. We didn’t book to take a van. So thought of waking earlier to get to the station were they hire cars and taxis for travelling because we could drive down due to the far distance.

I ran and put on some clothes and waited outside for the pick up truck to arrive. Finally they arrived. ‘Beep Beep’ I could hear the bus coming closer and closer. As I stepped on the bus I saw my friends all sitting at the back of the bus. I started walking. The bus looked really old.
